A stranded and emaciated California Sea Lion Pup was found outside our gallery on the rocks in the Ventura Marina. We called the local mammal rescue hotline, and learned of CIMWI- The Channel Islands Marine & Wildlife Institute. They do an incredible job of rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing wildlife in need of help: http://www.cimwi.org

We are so excited to have our scenic and wildlife photographs on display at Anacapa Brewing Company! It is one of our favorite spots for amazing beer and tasty bites. The exposed brick wall makes the perfect backdrop for some of our favorite images of Ventura. We will be having an Artists’ “Happy Hour” Reception coming soon- planning on joining in on the First Friday festivities for February.
It’s so fun to start fresh with a new year and renewed commitment and enthusiasm for all the things we love. Getting out and shooting more is always a top priority! Steve recently was out photographing and came across one of our favorites- the California Brown Pelican- they never fail to entertain and surprise us.
The Ventura Pier is one of our favorite subjects. Everyday the pier looks different..all day long the light is changing, the weather, the tides…it is always exciting to see what new look it will provide.
We feel so grateful to live here is Ventura County- this area of California is filled with natural beauty and variety and is less crowded than other coastal communities. There is always something beautiful to photograph.
